Volunteer holidays
As one of our major activities to encourage responsible and ethical tourism we work with local charity KEEP (Kathmandu Environmental Education Project) to run community project holidays. There is no better way to get to know the country you visit than spending time living with local people. If you have a taste for adventure and are eager to do something different this is the holiday for you. You will get involved in working alongside the local community on a much needed village project such as: awareness campaigns on hygiene and sanitation, renovation of school infrastructure, school/community toilet construction, solid waste management practices or drinking water project.
These volunteer programmes are especially popular for school trips or bespoke group holidays. The community project is usually a 5 day period which can be combined with any trek or other activity to create an all round Himalayan experience. Contact us to put together your bespoke itinerary. To follow are two examples of how the trip can be created.
